A Masterpiece in Minutes

I Love You Beary Much Cards

We've all been there... What do we get the ones we love this valentines? Yes, buying a gift does take a lot of thought but making something is what makes gift giving really special. This quick craft is easy as 1-2-3, perfect for all ages to execute and enjoy. We guarantee these cards will give everyone's heart a big bear hug!

What you will need:

  1. Construction paper or card stock (variety of designs and textures are optional)
  2. Doily paper (i used a 6" round)
  3. Glue (low temp hot glue optional for button embellishments)
  4. Scissors
  5. markers (variety of colours)
  6. variety of embellishments (your choice: buttons, bows, jewels, etc.)
  7. googly eyes (optional)

Step 1: Colour in Doily or cut out circle shape from construction paper.

Tip: Use a cereal bowl or circle lid as stencil for circular shape

Step 2: Draw ears and cut out.

Step 3: Colour in ear designs, and triangles for the bow.

Step 4: Glue doily and ears onto sheet of paper size of your choice.

Note: I'm using 8"x 11.5" paper as my base.

Step 5: Cut out bear nozzle and glue.

Tip: Fold paper in half and on one side with flat edge towards you draw an upside down "U"  cut and unfold. Edit edges of shape to create desired circular shape.

Step 6: Add embellishments, message, and any accents like facial features and designs.

Tip: Mounting piece on a drawing board gives it a more lasting and professional touch.
