Get Boo-tiful decor for a fraction of the cost!

Picture
Supply List

-16" Fan decor (comes in packs of 1)
-6" mini fan decor (comes in packs of 3)
-scissors (I will be using my cricut for cutting out my shapes. Stencils for precision is a good alternative if you do not own a cricut)
-glue (I used hot glue for quick and fast adhesive)
- Cardstock is best for durability but construction paper is fine.

-Ruler
- 6 pipe cleaners (each should measure roughly 12" long)
-googly eyes, beads and pom poms (optional)

Let's Get Started:

Using the 6" mini fans as an example to follow for the 16" fans.
1. Gather the colours you would like for your characters. I love making quick sketches of what I want my layout to look like before I begin - this step isn't necessary but definitely helpful.

2. Starting with the spider head, I cut 4" circles on navy blue cardstock paper and glue ontop of mini fan.
3. Use googly eyes or cut 1" circles and draw small black circles in the centre for pupils. Glue down.

4. Next Cut a smile roughly 2.875" L x 1.164 W (I got a smile sample from the internet for my cricut. You can create your own smile by cutting 0.5" circles and draw a smile line connecting the two circles. Glue down.
5. For the Spider Legs, cut each pipe cleaner into 4" strands

6. Insert pipe cleaner legs into the sides of the mini fans.

7. Add bow and embellishments or any other decor desired.

Hang these from the ceiling or attach to the walls, add netting or fake web decor to create an environment for all your guests to enjoy!

Dia de Los Muertos Inspired Birdhouse

A spook-tacular idea for all those who love halloween and getting into the spirit of it! There is nothing like a good d.i.y craft and this one has got us all excited! Let's get into the season and jump right in, this is what you'll Need:

-Birdhouse (purchased at Dollarama)

-Paint
-Paint brushes
-Scissors
-Markers
-Pencil
-Cardstock
-Glue Gun
-Glue Sticks
-Variety of halloween character stencils

This activity is super easy and pretty self-explanatory. Below are a variety of my process photos and a few other images to help spark some inspiration. I get inspired constantly and I love to be part of that narrative as well. I hope what I post encourages you to try new things and explore your inner artist.

Please note these birdhouses are not meant for decor only and are not weather resistant. you can definitely make them weather resistant with the right primer (primer is meant create a base for the paint and as a protection layer for the painting surface), a multi-purpose is a great option. once painting is completed add a water-resistant varnish.

The Final Piece! I highly Recommend doing themes, here are some theme ideas I think would be a lot of fun: Hocus Pocus, Tim Burton ANYTHING!, Adams Family.
